R.W. (Ronau William) Woiceske (1887-1953) was an artist and printmaker noted for his snowy winter landscapes. Born in Bloomington, Illinois, Woiceske worked as a stained-glass designer and painter in St. Louis, Missouri, before moving to Woodstock, New York, in 1924, where he studied with other artists. He took up printmaking, and many of his winterscapes were turned into Christmas cards.
