Its flowing teardrop shape suggests motion. Its V-shaped grille slices the air. Headlights blend smoothly into the front fenders. Rear fenders hug the body and fender skirts hide the rear wheels. Even the taillights are streamlined. The Zephyr was a streamlining success.

We're celebrating our 90th birthday by looking, decade by decade, at significant additions to our collection. During the 1990s, we acquired the 1906 "Old 16" race car, a 1969 tomato harvester, and a Lost in Space lunchbox, among others.
- 50 Years of High Design in Home Radio - This Crosley "Coloradio" tabletop radio was part of a product line named to highlight the wide range of colors its Bakelite case came in. This radio is notable for the influence of contemporary automobile styling upon its design. Many of Crosley's 1950s radios featured flashy chrome trim, fashionable colors, and circular dials reminiscent of automobile grills and instrument panels.
